That photo that changed everything
On July 7th, I took a photo that went "viral" in the MLS community, quickly spreading among soccer fans. Overnight, the photo gained major traction across social media, accumulating a substantial number of views.
It was a one-of-a-kind shot—and it would change everything.
Three days after I took the photo, Sporting Kansas City faced FC Dallas again. While walking along the field before the game, Sporting Kansas City's Associate Creative Director Nate Saathoff approached me. He jokingly offered $50,000 for full usage rights to the photo. Before the game started, I asked him if he needed any help for the rest of the season.
Throughout the season, our conversations continued as I hoped to secure a position either by season's end or next year.
I am extremely excited to announce that I will be joining Sporting Kansas City as a photographer for the 2025 season! I will serve as the team photographer for SKC II, along with covering games and events for the club.
As of today, I am the youngest photographer in the MLS, youngest MLS team photographer and most likely the youngest professional team photographer in the world!
I'm thrilled to take on this role and can't wait to see what the future holds! Thank you to Nate for taking a chance on me, to my dad for letting me use his camera when I started, to my mom for her support, and to all my friends, family, and followers. Thank you all!
